Privacy Policy

Last updated September 29, 2026

This policy explains what OIP, the Opportunity Intelligence Platform at oip.world ("OIP", "we", "us"), collects about you, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: we collect what we need to run your account and send the emails you ask for, we don't sell your personal information, we don't show ads, and we don't use third-party tracking or advertising cookies.

1. What we collect

2. How we use it

We don't sell your personal information, share it for advertising, or use it to rank or change the facts OIP shows.

3. AI explanations

Some features, such as AI explanations of an opportunity or Funding Plan and describing your goal in your own words, use OpenAI to write a short explanation. Only when you use one of these features, OIP sends OpenAI the text you typed and the relevant facts (for example the opportunity and the profile details you entered). We don't send your email address. OpenAI processes this under its API terms to return the explanation.

4. Services that help run OIP

We share data only with the services needed to run OIP, and only what each one needs:

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of OIP and its users, or as part of a sale or merger of OIP, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your data.

5. Cookies and browser storage

OIP uses one cookie to keep you signed in. If you arrive from an OIP social post or link, a second first-party cookie remembers which one for up to 30 days; if you then create an account, we keep that source (for example "an OIP Facebook post") with your account so we can see which posts help people find OIP, and the cookie is cleared. It also stores a few preferences in your browser, such as which Daily Brief sections you left open and where you were in setup. These stay on your device. There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

6. How long we keep it

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, including California, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy of it, to correct it, and to have it deleted, and not to be treated differently for using these rights. OIP does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To use any of these rights, email us as above.

8. Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS), sign-in uses one-time codes instead of passwords, and access to our database is limited. No service is perfectly secure, so please keep access to your email account safe, since it's how you sign in.

9. Children

OIP is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we'll delete it. Buying Pro requires being 18 or older.

10. Changes to this policy

We'll update this page when our practices change, and the date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we'll tell you by email or on the site before it takes effect.
